Welcome to the SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show — the
largest “family reunion” in the industry. With that beautiful
white stuff blanketing most of the US, we are truly excited
about this year’s show. First and foremost, I want to thank
all the retailers and buying groups that make this the biggest
and best snowsports trade show in North America; and
all the SIA members and their representatives that exhibit
at the show.
We hope you join us in embracing a “green” trade show
and engage in environmentally friendly practices while in
Vegas. Stop by our brand new ECOsource Market Segment
Exhibit highlighting exhibitors’ products made from
recycled, recyclable or sustainable materials. To ensure our
health, this is once again a total smoke-free show.
We invite everyone to check out all the features and events,
including the Market Segment Exhibits, the Yard, the Retail
Resource Center, our brand new SnowSports Institute, the
Opening Night Party at the House of Blues, the Awards Ceremony
recognizing our retailers, reps and suppliers; and the
National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Information about all these exhibits and awards will be included
in the SnowPress Show Daily and the RSN “The Goods” shown
24 hours a day on the following house channels: Mandalay Bay
and THEhotel (27), Luxor (83) and Excalibur (20).
Special thanks to Mandalay Bay properties and the city of
Las Vegas for playing host for the 37 th consecutive year.

Bienvenue au SIA.08, la grande réunion de famille de
l’industrie des sports de neige et le plus grand salon commercial
du genre en Amérique du Nord. Avec la généreuse
couverture de neige qui recouvre présentement la majorité
de l’Amérique du Nord et de l’Europe, nous sommes très
heureux de vous ouvrir les portes du SIA 2008. En premier
lieu, je souhaite remercier tous les commerçants et
les groupes d’acheteurs qui, par leur engagement, font du
SIA le plus grand et le meilleur salon commercial dédié aux
sports de neige en Amérique du Nord. Je remercie également
les membres du SIA et leurs représentants présents
au salon commercial.
Nous espérons que vous vous joindrez à nous dans nos
efforts « verts » et que vous aurez une petite pensée pour
l’environnement lors de votre séjour à Las Vegas. Mieux
encore, venez nous rencontrer à notre nouvelle exposition
ECOsource Market Segment qui met en vedette les produits
faits de matériaux recyclés, recyclables ou écologiques de
nos exposants. Aussi, afi n de promouvoir la bonne santé de
tous, nous vous offrons un environnement sans fumée.
Encore cette année, le SIA présente des événements et une
programmation à ne pas manquer. Visitez le Market Segment

致します。
グリーンなトレードショーを目指し、ラス・べガスご滞在
中は環境に優しい習慣の実行にご協力ください。今年初
のECOsource Market Segment展では、再利用済み、再
利用可能または持続可能(サステイナブル)な材料を使
用した出展者の製品に焦点を当てています。また、この
ショーでは健康に配慮し、今年も全面禁煙となっており
ます。
SIAは今年も見逃せないイベントをご用意致しまし
た。Market Segment展、The YARD、Retail Resource
