HATS & GLOVES,
LEATHER AND GORE HEAT UP GLOVES,
NEW FIBERS AND OLD STYLES DRIVE HATS
Gore and leather are sliding gloves off the shelves and
hats balance retro and progressive while staying true to
the snow with earth-friendly materials. Chunky knit hats,
collegiate stripes, brims, earfl aps and pompoms are hot.
Prints and colors share themes with apparel and other
accessories in the line.
BLACK DIAMOND’S kids’ Toaster mitt envelops kids’
hands in a waterproof shell with fuzzy insulation, zippered
heater pocket, and name tag. For adults, the Pursuit has a
removable merino liner, Schoeller Nano Technology outer
and Pittard leather palm.
Part of its new “green” line, GORDINI’S Glasgow glove
is made from recycled materials ingeniously incorporated
everywhere from the shell to the insulation. Softshell with
a plaid ghost print over the knuckles adds subtle class
and Thinsulate, Lavawool and Gore-Tex inside keep your
customers’ hands warm and dry.
180’S Storm XTG glove targets cold weather aerobic sports
with a waterproof, windproof, contoured softshell. “Tec
Touch” conductive fabric lets you control an iPod or PDA
without removing the gloves.
Leather dominates LEVEL gloves like the Rexford as it
makes a big comeback. The Bliss glove/mitt reaches out
to cold-handed women with a circulation-improving shape
and Gore and PrimaLoft insulation. The Star, Edge and
Utah use Gore 2 in 1 — one warm inner chamber and one
dexterous outer chamber.
MARMOT’S Ultimate Ski Glove’s simple design melds
premier technology like Gore XCR, Primaloft, leather
and wool/Cocona. The Randonnee glove features leather
reinforcement and waterproofi ng and wicking technologies
for sweating for your turns.
MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR heats up with the batterypowered
Red Savina Heated Glove. Three lithium batteries
provide four-six hours of delicious fi nger heat. A leather
Velcro strap on the gauntlet protects the on/off switch and
charging portal.
POW’S Tonic glove packs waterproofi ng, breathability and
durability into a super-light package with sticky grip action
and retro-modern park style. The windproof fl eece Pho-
Tog glove allows for even more dexterity with abbreviated
fi nger tips.
SCOTT goes big with Gore while staying focused on the
park. The Collegiate spring/park glove is modeled after
a letterman jacket, complete with the pin. The 4-way
stretch Foil glove comes in white and yellow with a bold,
black swirl.

SALOMON’S Ghost XCR glove uses Gore 2 in 1, leather
and softshell for versatility, dexterity and warmth.
HESTRA introduces the women’s-specifi c Heli and Heli
3-Finger gloves. A slim fi t provides better pole feel and the
gauntlets use watertight Entrant fabric to keep out snow.
CLOUDVEIL’S Tram Line glove pays tribute to the defunct
Jackson Hole tram with Schoeller stretch panels, leather
reinforcements, Primaloft One insulation, and an interior
snow/draft sealing gasket. The kids’ Moose Mitt has a
magnetic closure, snotnose wipe and hairy fl eece lining.
GRANDOE’S Rockford Glove uses Gore 2 in 1 with a softshell/goatskin
shell. The short gauntlet is tapered and the
fi ngers and thumb are contoured. The Shift also uses 2 in 1
and softshell with Waterblock sheepskin for soft dexterity.
SWANY’S X-Otic highly technical glove looks slicker than
most urban street wear. A heat-refl ecting insulating system
is inside a waterproof/breathable insert.
KOMBI takes a “no loose ends” approach, focusing on
function, fi t, and the interface between glove and jacket.
The cold-weather Freeform uses Gore 2 in 1. The entire
women’s line is redesigned, and the i-Rip — with an
integrated wireless iPod control in feminine colors and fabrics
— is one of the highlights. On the green front, Kombi
also introduces a series of gloves made from bamboo.
At $15, HOTFINGERS Zip N Slide fl ies off the rack as
easily as it zips on and off.
